I had my transplant about a month ago and I still have alot of abdominal bloating. I am a small girl at only 116 lbs so it looks pretty bad on me. Would like to know if anyone else experienced this after transplant and if it ever went away.
it will go away part of it is your new kidney . your body will soon absorb it and things will flatten out . call your dr. if it really worrys you ..
you may need dialysis.. if you are not getting that, contact your doctor.. you could be rejecting the kidney.

Congratulations on your kidney transplant! It is possible for fluid to collect around the surgical area so you should be seen by your transplant team. They would likely do a ultrasound to rule out any problems. You might also have a hernia, which can cause a bulge in that area. I imagine you are still going for frequent check ups so be sure they examine you.
