Revolution is all you need to kill fleas and prevent fleas, mites, heartworm, roundworm and hookworm. If your cat stays indoors you really don’t have to worry about ticks. Is your "somewhat-outdoor patio" enclosed or not?

If you are having a flea problem, use Capstar every couple of days until it is under control. You will see the fleas die and fall off.
